How to get to Cai Be

Cai Be gardens are located along the north bank of Tien river, in Cai Be district, Tien Giang province. Surrounded by many canals, Cai Be seems year-round immerse in the fertile silt of the delta. As a result, this fertile land has created conditions for cultivators to specialize in fruit trees to supply many places in the country and for export.
In recent years, Cai Be is not only the biggest fruit orchards in the Mekong Delta but also a tourist destination for many international visitors. Especially, since My Thuan bridge was opened, Cai Be met new opportunities to develop eco-garden tourism.
Currently, Cai Be district has nearly 15,000 ha of fruit tree gardens with many categories (accounting for more than 1/3 of the fruit trees area of Tien Giang) such as durians, milk durians with thin seeds originating from Cai Mon (Ben Tre), Nam Roi pomelos brought from Binh Minh (Vinh Long), sugar pomelos, logans, King oranges, honey oranges, Hoa Loc sweet mangos, and some kinds of grafted mangoes with unique taste.
Besides, there are many other fruit trees such as sapodilla, guava, apple, tangerine, jackfruit, plum, peach, etc. Compared to the gardens in the Southwest, Cai Be gardens are considered one of the most abundant in class.
Fruits here are available in four seasons, of which each season has different types of products. Hence, tourists coming to Cai Be in any season have a chance to enjoy full of delicious ripe fruits and meet the gentle, naive, sincere, and hospitable people.

Located at the top of Minh islet (which is dubbed "the kingdom of fruit"), it is accreted by alluvial soil for fertile conditions, helping cultivate and develop various kinds of the Southwest fruit trees. Therefore, trees and forest ecosystems here grow very green and abundant.
Mr. Hai Cong’s garden
The ecotourism resort of Mr. Hai Cong (the first private garden tourist area in Cai Be) is located in a rather large campus with many kinds of fruit trees, especially the original famous Hoa Loc sweet mangos.
The hundreds-of-year-old ancient ornamental plants, beautiful orchid rows with many varieties and colors, the dining area for visitors, fishing lakes, hammocks for visitors to rest, and warm bedrooms, etc. are harmoniously arranged in the garden. The usages of wood, rattan, bamboo, and leaves here create a picture bearing the characteristics of the countryside garden.
The garden area also serves very nicely Southern dishes such as fried osphronemus goramy fish, boneless snakehead fish with rice paper roll, stewed lemongrass chicken with malabar spinach, duck porridge with water spinach, fish sauce hotpot with water hyacinth, etc. The dishes here are delicious and charming when tasted in a rustic space.

Cai Be floating market
As the contiguous place of three provinces of Tien Giang, Ben Tre, and Vinh Long, being one of the three largest wholesale markets in the Southwest region along with Cai Rang and Nga Bay floating markets, Cai Be floating market is always crowded with products varying from water seafood to home appliances, drinks, etc.

In here, if you want to see the crowded scenes of boats and water trading, you should go from early in the morning, before 8:00 am.
To be able to visit a round of this floating market, you can rent a boat to Cai Be floating market from 10 to 15 seats. The price ranges from VND 500,000 to 800,000. Otherwise, you can catch a dinghy for 3-5 people at a lower price from VND 150,000 to 200,000/guest.
