Can Tho is located in the centre of the Mekong River delta on the banks of two main branches of Mekong river which are Tien river and Hau river. It is adjacent to An Giang province on the north, Dong Thap province on the northeast, Hau Giang province on the south, Kien Giang province on the west and Vinh Long province on the east.
Can Tho is a 200-year-old city, once known as Tay Do and now one of the five biggest cities of Vietnam. All of economic, culture activities closely relating to river and canals which like the 'street'. Cai Rang Floating Market
It takes about 30 minutes from Ninh Kieu Wharf, following the Hau river down to get to Cai Rang floating market. The market opens from 5 am to 9 am with the main items of agricultural products, fruits of all kinds, goods, and foodstuffs. People gather on the river by means such as canoes and boats with the highlight of a pole hanging business items. This is a very unique culture in the Cuu Long River Delta, attracting many foreign tourists to visit.
Bang Lang Stork Garden
It is about 50 km from the centre of Can Tho city along 91 National Road to Thot Not. Formed in 1983, the stork garden is home to thousands of different storks in a garden of about 1.5 hectares. Tourists will be surprised when watching the storks flying and feel extremely relaxed between the natural space.
Orchards
Can Tho has fertile soil combined with a warm climate throughout the year so it can grow many kinds of fruit trees such as star apple, plum, longan, strawberry, durian, mangosteen, rambutan, apple, and tangerine concentrated in Phong Dien district and Tan Loc islet. Some gardens you should not miss when coming to Can Tho such as Vam Xang, Con Au, Giao Duong, My Thom, My Khanh, Vu Binh, My Thuan longan garden.

The old house was built by the Duong family in 1870 in the combination of Asian and European architecture, including five compartments with all materials imported from France. It used to be a backdrop for dozens of famous films.
Truc Lam Phuong Nam Zen Monastery
This monastery has an area of nearly 4 hectares and is considered the largest one in the Mekong Delta. Located in My Khanh commune (near My Khanh tourist area), the monastery was built with the Ly-Tran Buddhist architecture. The whole structure is made with brick roofs, ironwood columnar frames, brick walls, floors, and walkways are tiled with Chinese bricks.
