Overview
Duong Dong town is the largest town in Phu Quoc and the administrative and tourist center of the island district. The town is located on the western part of Phu Quoc island with a population of about 80,000 people.

Duong Dong town has a wide chains of hotels, resorts, restaurants, banks, pharmacies, large hospitals, as well as some areas of fish sauce production and pepper cultivation. Phu Quoc International Airport is also in the land of Duong Dong town. All Phu Quoc tours have a stopover at Duong Dong with Tran Hung Dao street located parallel to the most famous beach: Bai Dai - Phu Quoc.

Duong Dong market
Duong Dong Market often meets very early in the morning with mainly seafood, vegetables and essential consumer goods. In addition, the market also provides a lot of fresh fruits and some local special dishes such as Phu Quoc mushroom, Phu Quoc's famous delicious pepper. You will feel extremely surprised when buying things here because the prices are very cheap. The market is behind some big buildings and new bridges so it is a bit difficult to find here.
Duong Dong port
Located on Duong Dong river, where the gateway focuses on fishing boats and sightseeing ships. This is an interesting place for tourists to see colorful fish boats and see fishermen unload anchovies (the main ingredient in Phu Quoc fish sauce). If you want to go fishing at night or explore the northern islands, you can rent a private boat here.
Dinh Cau beach
Dinh Cau is a small beach located in Duong Dong town behind the night market. Watching the sunset here is absolutely amazing. The beach is not too clean but it has a completely unique beauty.

From the highest point of Thanh That Cao Dai Pagoda, you can see the panorama of Phu Quoc National Park, Duong Dong town, Dinh Cau temple.

Dinh Cau temple is one of the most sacred temples in Phu Quoc island. Located in a rocky cape in Dinh Cau beach, this temple is where local people come to pray for a lucky sea trip after boating to the sea. Moreover, the temple is very crowded in the afternoon because tourists often rush in this temple to admire the sunset, this is considered the most sunset sightseeing spot in Phu Quoc.

There is no need to go too far to pepper farms. You can go to the edge of the town on the April 30 road, there will be 3 pepper gardens open for tourists to visit. Phu Quoc pepper is one of the most fragrant and delicious peppers in Vietnam.
Duong Dong concentrates most of Phu Quoc's guest houses, hotels, resort. This town is where tourists often stop overnight when traveling to Phu Quoc.
