Overview
Long Xuyen is the provincial capital of An Giang province, in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam. Long Xuyen city is considered an important cultural, political, and economic center of An Giang. Besides, it is also considered an attractive tourist destination by many unique architectural works, many beautiful natural landscapes impressing tourists.
In Long Xuyen, there are three nationally ranked monuments of the memorial house in the childhood of President Ton Duc Thang, My Phuoc Communal house, and Bac De pagoda (Ong Bac pagoda). In addition, Long Xuyen also has Nguyen Du park, Hai Ba Trung square, Long Xuyen floating market, etc favored by many tourists.
Long Xuyen floating market is home to hundreds of canoes and boats from everywhere gathering to buy and sell goods (mainly agricultural products). Anyone who sells goods will hang them on a high pole to make it easier for buyers to recognize. The floating market only operates from about 5 am to 10 pm every day.
