Built from 1886 - 1891 by the famous architect Gustave Eiffel of France, visitors will see the Saigon Post Office wearing a yellow paint standing out in the afternoon of Saigon with rows of curved windows. In the middle of the Post Office is a large clock with gentle decorative lines that easily attract visitors' visions when they first visit here.
Right at the main entrance is the red color of the red star yellow flag.

What makes visitors most impressed is the roof, the large dome door system along the ceiling of the building is radiated four sides to support. Looking at it for a long time, you will see the curved post office ceiling that is very long like a giant wine barrel with shiny cream floor tiles making the space here big and airy.
The two sides of the building are two historical maps of Saigon with many regions that are hand-crafted and meticulously hand-painted by artisans. The unique architecture combining European style with Asian decoration has made visitors not want to leave. Although it has existed for a long time, if you come here, you will still be impressed by the modern and intertwined classic beauty of Saigon Post Office.
On both sides of the entrance are straight green iron columns and long-standing wooden chairs. Sitting here, you will feel like you are waiting for the next train of the British railway station in the 20th century. The center of the Post Office is the image of the leader of Ho Chi Minh.
Looking inside, you will easily see four large wooden tables lined up in the middle of the post office to serve the people who need to make contact transactions, send mail, express delivery. Especially , both sides of the main lobby of Saigon Post Office still store ancient mailboxes and old telephone booths that make visitors nostalgic for a past time.
The two sides of the corridor near the main entrance of the building have many souvenir shops selling thousands of souvenirs and postcards about Vietnam in general or Saigon in particular to serve for tourists to buy as souvenirs for friends or relatives.
